This painting began without a plan. I simply moved the palette knife freely, letting each stroke find its own path. As the layers built up, mountains slowly emerged from the canvas.
A sky of lavender, lime and turquoise melts into itself, scattered with countless white drops of paint. They might be morning dew, stardust, or jewels.
The thick, sculptural texture is something photographs can’t fully capture. Each small peak of paint catches the light differently throughout the day.
A touch of pink peeks out at the summit, resting above deep layers of blue and green. What landscape will you find here?
