Sand from Russia and leaves from Fukushima are embedded into the surface, carrying traces of memory and healing. These materials form part of the painting’s physical presence, connecting distant places through a single field.
Inspired by the sea in Shonan, Japan, the surface was shaped by hand. Deep phthalo blue allows the sea and sky to dissolve into one continuous space, while light descends like a full moon falling into the water.
